    Description

OLC Alternative Education is a part of New Forest Care Education. Our Alternative Education provision (OLC-AE) works alongside our OFSTED-rated Outstanding Independent Special School (850/6089), based near Romsey, Hampshire

The OLC-AE provision specialises in supporting children with specific educational needs to access a whole school curriculum on a part-time basis. The setting accepts young people who are not yet ready to engage in a full-time education placement but still require a high-quality education setting. We support students from other settings where we deliver a specific section of the young person's education.

We provide various engagement activity options to draw young people into engaging in structured sessions. These lead to sessions that embed individualised academic and social learning objectives in a way that motivates and inspires young people.

All learning is built on a well-planned core subject curriculum that can lead to recognised (RQF) qualifications, including GCSE, Functional Skills and Vocational Awards in subjects such as Construction, Sport and Horticulture.
