    Job summary

    Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer and new opportunity for an operational support officer for Specialist and Secured Services.

    This role will provide personal assistant responsibility for the Service Director and Business Manager function for a range of specialist and secure services including prison health, gender services and forensic mental health. This is an essential role in driving the delivery of effective business through strong administrative and project delivery support.

    This job requires particular skills in prioritising and juggling competing demands and priorities. If you are passionate, self-motivated and proactive in providing exceptional administrative support then this may be the role for you.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will be responsible for leading individual packages of work and business support across the Specialist & secured Services. This will include delegated responsibility for specific areas of work, as well as general management support to ensure quality delivery of the service.

    The post holder will also take a lead on specific projects or aspects of a project with responsibility for day-to-day delivery and adjusting plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated. They will work with clinicians and managers to ensure provision of the best possible patient experience and service delivery.

    The role will also provide dedicated personal assistant duties to the Service Director and provide a comprehensive and highly efficient administrative function to enable senior level Operational and Managerial responsibilities.

    You will be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative when necessary and to function as the 'right hand' of the Service Director. You will also undertake research and produce reports to manage delegated projects and to be a first point of contact and resource for information.

    You must possess and be able to evidence excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Excellent IT skills and advanced competencies in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
