At my client we are constantly evolving in order to meet new challenges, while developing our personnel to ensure a competitive edge.


Our global trading offices are staffed by experienced traders who count Gas, Crude Oil, Light and Middle Distillates, as well as Bitumen, as their specialties.

The traders are supported by skilled shipping and financial operations personnel from officesin Athens, Dubai, London, Houston.

Main responsibilities

  • Management and reporting of daily PnL for London trading desks
  • Monitoring and reporting overall physical and paper risk exposure for London trading desks
  • Monitoring and reporting any structural exposure and impact on daily PnL variation
  • Conducting analysis as required to identify breaks or anomalies in daily PnL reports
  • Ensure loading the proper price data and forward price curves in the risk system
  • Coordinating with trading desks on capturing the associated cost for the physical trades and reflecting them in the ETRM system
  • Validate and check the accuracy of the physical entries and hedges in the ETRM system
  • Clean/reduce accrual costs once final figures floats into the risk system by all other relevant departments
  • Collaborate with other team members on ad hoc projectsand process improvement
Desired skills, Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in energy commodity markets, with sound understanding of trading concepts and risk metrics are required
  • Understand risk management tools and exposure management
  • Strong understanding of trade life cycle, business processes, policies, procedures and controls
  • Understanding of swaps, futures and options
  • Strong analytical skills ability to understand impact of market changes on PnL as well as an economic event in the lifecycle of a deal
  • Experience with energy trading and risk management systems (ETRM), Amphora Right Angle
  • Working knowledge of VaR, MTM, and quantifying position exposure
  • Able to work effectively in Global team
  • Demonstrate risk, product control or trade accounting experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong MS office (Excel) skills will be beneficial. Experience of ETRM system will be of advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Business with CFA, MBA, CA, or other related education is an asset
