Design Engineer

Solihull

Up to £40,000 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday

Standard hours are 9am-5pm

The client is happy to amend these to

8am-4pm or10am-6pm


Kerry Collins are excited to be working for a well established client, who are currently seeking a Design Engineer to work in their Head Office based in Solihull.


Our client being the original manufacturer and global leaders in their field and are looking to expand their ever-growing business.


Day to day duties will include:

  • Creation of new products
  • Earlystage ideation and concept development
  • Assist in developing product design plans
  • Development and maintenance of Intellectual property
  • BOM preparation
  • Creation of 3D CAD models and supporting documents
To be considered for this exciting Design Engineer role, you will need the following experience:

  • 5 years minimum in Engineering discipline is advantageous
  • Ability to create 3D CAD models/Assemblies in SolidWorks to Advanced level
  • Solid understanding of Engineering principles and FEA
  • Ability to provide technical support to colleagues in R&D department.
  • Development of innovative design concepts
  • Ability to understand and approve technical drawings.
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks
  • Strong IT Knowledge, experienced with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint Etc.
  • Ability to contribute to problem solving activities and quality improvement.
