Do you have a commitment to making a difference to women's lives? Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, gender responsive, trauma-informed way to achieve long-term lasting change? We are looking for a passionate and empathetic person to join our team at The Nelson Trust Women's Centre in Somerset.

You will manage your own case load, supporting women involved in the criminal justice system, experiencing multiple vulnerabilities and complex needs, across North Somerset. This post involves undertaking needs assessment, support planning and delivering rehabilitative interventions which enable women to break down barriers to achieve change.

Our services utilise a trauma-informed approach to engage women and address needs holistically including one to one support, outreach, and group interventions. You will need to demonstrate good engagement skills working with women and have a track record of developing effective partnerships with specialist organisations in the local area. We have full-time and part time opportunities for individuals who are passionate about supporting and empowering women in a holistic, women centred, trauma informed way.

This is a challenging role which will present the right candidate with opportunities to make a difference and to develop a service to provide women with positive opportunities for change.

Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
