    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as an In-House International Indirect Tax Manager. This role will focus on managing the internal VAT/GST registrations globally, ensuring accuracy, transparency, consistency, and VAT efficiency across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams to drive quality and consistency in indirect tax accounting processes, provide support on VAT compliance issues, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate risks and identify opportunities.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead efforts to ensure quality and consistency in indirect tax accounting processes across the organisation.
    • Collaborate with finance teams globally to manage local VAT accounting processes, ensuring proper documentation and rigorous application of controls.
    • Focus on risk areas such as VAT on prepayments, Counsel Fees, deferred VAT regimes, regular VAT journals, and aged VAT balances.
    • Proactively identify and address risks and opportunities related to VAT accounting.
    • Provide oversight to finance leadership on VAT accounting compliance through regular monitoring and issue tracking.
    • Work closely with the organisation's International VAT Manager and International Indirect Tax Process Lead to provide VAT support across the organisation.
    • Provide training to financial managers on accounting and control aspects related to VAT.

    About You:

    • Part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant (ACCA or relevant equivalent).
    • Understanding of indirect tax/VAT principles, risks, and a willingness to learn more.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills and previous experience in VAT accounting processes preferred.
    • Self-motivated, logical, and organised approach to work.
    • Keen eye for detail and ability to operate in ambiguous situations.
    • Agile, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to build relationships with members of other finance teams.
