- Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the After School Club
- Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure 'sign in & sign out' process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
- Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer in a timely fashion
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary
- You ideally have experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
- Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant
- Be reliable and passionate over everything else
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 – 11 years
