The opportunity


Due to continued growth and success, we are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to provide effective and efficient HR/Payroll support to the wider JMG Group.


Based in Guiseley and reporting to the Group HR Manager you will provide HR/Payroll administration support in all aspects of the employee life cycle, including payroll, pension schemes, HMRC relationship, childcare and cycle to work schemes and also loan and training agreement management.

You will also support the Group HR/Payroll team in initiatives to improve staff retention, employee satisfaction, and engagement.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Support the Group Payroll Manager in endtoend processing of all payrolls, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time. In the absence of the Group Payroll Manager, run the endtoend processing of all payrolls.
  • Support maintaining IRIS Cascade Payroll system, working with HR to ensure that all employee records are up to date, accurate and are held in accordance with data protection legislation
  • Support with processing payroll amendments including starters, leavers, contract changes, salary changes and tax code changes
  • Support the collating and inputting payroll data including, variable pay (bonuses, commission) and expenses claims
  • In the absence of the Group Payroll Manager support processing of required payments and returns to HMRC and pension providers
  • Working with the Group Payroll Manager ensuring statutory compliance and that any regulation changes are understood and implemented
  • Supporting the team in providing a range of management information and reports as required
  • Supporting the Group HR Payroll Manager in responding to manager and employee payroll queries in a timely manner.
  • Carry out DBS, credit checks and chasing references for new colleagues across the group.
  • First line of contact for 3rd party benefit broker. New starters and leavers reconciliation and updating in IRIS Cascade system.


To be successful in this role you will have worked within a HR & Payroll administration function and will be able to work autonomously on volume-based tasks, ideally within a professional services organisation with multiple entities.


You will ideally be located close to Guiseley in Leeds and be happy (once fully trained on our systems) to work in a hybrid 3:2 home/office working pattern.
