Housing Standards Officer (Environmental Health Practitioner)

Salary:
G9 £36,298 - £41,496 per annum


Permanent /37 hours per week


An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing Standards & Improvement Team for a highly motivated Housing Standards Officer (Environmental Health Practitioner) to lead on the day-to-day casework on inspections, investigations, and advice.

This is your opportunity to be part of a team undertaking the whole range of enforcement activities within the private rented sector including but not limited to HMO licensing, private rented housing standards, and public health.

About the team_


The team deals with all aspects of Private Sector Housing, including, minimum standards in rented accommodation, Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), Energy Efficiency and Empty Homes, Disabled Facilities Grants as well as public health matters.

However, this role will focus mainly on inspecting, licensing and enforcing standards in the private rented sector.

This post is based primarily on working (and travelling to visits) from home, although there will be opportunities to work from the office, particularly where this links with the preparation of enforcement notices.
