This will be a permanent position working 25 hours per week and attracts a car allowance, so there is travel to our sites required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and deliver the care certificate standards across the business supporting staff through to completion
- Deliver specific care certificate training to team managers and other stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with managers, staff and other stakeholders to assist with solving specific programme requirements to ensure success
- Manage a data base of all new starters, assigning the care certificate to those without prior evidence
- Set up and manage electronic systems of staff records and progress using our on
- Monitor progression of all staff undertaking the care certificate, supporting and coaching where necessary
- Audit staff training plans, to ensure knowledge of staff is mapped into care certificate knowledge elements
- Observe and assess staff in the workplace to ensure skills of staff are mapped into care certificate skills elements
- Review care certificate competency evidence undertaken by others and make reliable judgements on the evidence presented
- Provide evaluative feedback and action planning if the standards are not met
- Maintain accurate records related to programme delivery and produce statistical reports on a regular basis
- Take part in regular CPD activities to maintain own professional competence and expertise
- Travel to services and training venues is an expectation of this position and attracts a car users' allowance.
Ideally, you will hold a qualification in adult social care or a teaching qualification, with a good working knowledge and experience of delivering and assessing the Care Certificate.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has strong interpersonaland communication skills, able to develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders with excellent organisational skills.
