We are Eden Futures, and we deliver exceptional support services for people aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and associated complex needs.

The Learning & Development team are expanding and looking for an enthusiastic Care Certificate Lead.

This will be a permanent position working 25 hours per week and attracts a car allowance, so there is travel to our sites required.

We don't expect you to always be on the road and we're open to flexibility, with a mixture of office and home working, too


Main Responsibilities:


  • Plan, organise and deliver the care certificate standards across the business supporting staff through to completion
  • Deliver specific care certificate training to team managers and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with managers, staff and other stakeholders to assist with solving specific programme requirements to ensure success
  • Manage a data base of all new starters, assigning the care certificate to those without prior evidence
  • Set up and manage electronic systems of staff records and progress using our on
- line platform Myrus

  • Monitor progression of all staff undertaking the care certificate, supporting and coaching where necessary
  • Audit staff training plans, to ensure knowledge of staff is mapped into care certificate knowledge elements
  • Observe and assess staff in the workplace to ensure skills of staff are mapped into care certificate skills elements
  • Review care certificate competency evidence undertaken by others and make reliable judgements on the evidence presented
  • Provide evaluative feedback and action planning if the standards are not met
  • Maintain accurate records related to programme delivery and produce statistical reports on a regular basis
  • Take part in regular CPD activities to maintain own professional competence and expertise
  • Travel to services and training venues is an expectation of this position and attracts a car users' allowance.


Ideally, you will hold a qualification in adult social care or a teaching qualification, with a good working knowledge and experience of delivering and assessing the Care Certificate.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has strong interpersonaland communication skills, able to develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders with excellent organisational skills.
