In this vital role as a Recruitment & Employment Services Supervisor you will be working for a busy, proactive Recruitment and Employment Services Team, the post holder will assist in providing a comprehensive recruitment service to a clinical Division and corporate teams.


This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support for managers and applicants through the recruitment, on-boarding and employment services processes.

Ensuring that recruitment and ESR processes are completed safely, accurately and within the service's key performance indicators.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high quality, effective recruitment service for the Trust and work as a team leader to develop the HR administrative support function.

Delivering best practice advice on the recruitment and employment services to staff across the Trust.

Provide an efficient, high quality and customer service led service to the Trust, ensuring the Trust has the workforce to meet the needs of the service.


Providing support to the Recruitment and Employment Services Manager and deputise in delivering high quality recruitment and employment services processes for staff, allocating work and providing advice on complex resourcing and terms and condition issues.

Providing employment services support and guidance to employees and managers when requesting changes to contract, salary and personal details.

Ensures that contractual documentation is provided to employees in line with established HR standards.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all NHS Mandatory preemployment checks have been completed thoroughly and in line with the Recruitment policy and procedure. These checks include checking validity of documents provided for right to work, identity and DBS checks, ensuring correct and appropriate references are sought, relevant professional registration is in place and, where required, confirming authenticity of qualifications with relevant awarding body/education establishment.
  • Responsible for ensuring the work output is of high quality and carried out to a high standard in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, ensuring that all recruitment and employment services administration is carried out in a timely manner, meeting internal deadlines, quality standards and KPIs, relevant national frameworks and legal requirements.
  • Completion of positive DBS risk assessments for review by the HR senior team/ HR Business Partner.
  • Assist Resourcing Manager in the review of the centralised recruitment and retention processes, procedures and systems to support continuous service improvements.
  • Review daily tasks and prioritise the tasks of the team ensuring delivery of services meets the KPIs and other deadlines.
  • Timely escalation to recruiting managers when preemployment checks do not meet Trust standards.
  • Liaise with Recruitment and Employment Services Manager and Divisional Leads to identify resourcing difficulties and provide solutions to the timely recruitment of staff.
