As a
Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you will be working under the supervision of the Director LEAN OPS, working with teams to prepare and conduct LEAN process improvement events.
You will develop and prepare materials for use in the events, coordinate with department management and participants, LEAN instruction on the use of process improvement tools, facilitate team decisions, manage teamwork, resolve team conflict, assist in the development of implementation action plans, ensure implementation and conduct follow-up.
Key Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Coordinator:
- Actively promotes LEAN and its activities and services to others.
- Presents, facilitates, supports and leads assigned LEAN improvement events and activities using methods of cultureappropriate team building, team energising, training/workshops, data gathering, analysis, problem solving and project coordination / management.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/ business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation.
- Seeks and evaluates LEAN information, materials, and methods to match specific organisational needs, and adopts them to use in the execution of LEAN improvement processes.
- Participates in and coordinates the development of event charters and scheduling of the events.
- Works with departmental management to assure appropriate participation and support.
- Assists in locating and reserving meeting locations and coordinating the delivery of services and materials necessary for a successful event.
- Uses appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements.
- Develops reports of overall LEAN activities including accomplishments, participation and projected activities.
- Coordinates with related departments and functions to assure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction.
- Prepares purchase information for departmental management review to identify materials and other resources required for effective implementation of LEAN improvements.
Skills & Experience Required of the Continuous Improvement Coordinator:
- Exceptional communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Highly responsible individual and greatly inspired to improve with a drive to challenge and implement change.
- Training in Lean principles and Kaizen facilitation.
- Excellent admin skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Have oversight of a number of different projects at different stages of development and project management skills.
