    Whittington Health Audiology and Vestibular Medicine Service
    Audiologist
    AFC - Band 5

    Full time substantive post, 37.5 hours per week

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 5 Audiologists to join our friendly team to deliver a quality Adult assessment and rehabilitation care pathway.

    Clinics are held at a number of locations across Haringey and Islington.

    The postholder will be based predominantly at St Ann's hospital, although there will be rotation at other sites.

    We also work closely with UCL/Middlesex university to provide clinical placements for BSc students.

    Main duties of the job To perform routine audiological assessments on adults without direct supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

    To select and fit hearing aids to routine adult clients referred from General Practitioners, and internally via ENT/ Consultant Audiological Physician as directed.

    To assist senior Audiological staff/medical staff with non- routine diagnostic and rehabilitative cases for both adults and children.     • BSc in Audiology/ or equivalent acceptable for registration
    • Registration/working towards with RCCP/HPC
    Skills & Abilities Essential
    • Good written and communication skills
    • Ability to remain updated with professional practice
    • General IT skills
    Knowledge & Experience Essential
    • Routine audiological assessment techniques for adult testing
    • Hearing aid fitting and review of Adult patients
    • Repair clinics
    • Basic knowledge of diagnostic audio- vestibular test techniques
    Desirable
    • Knowledge of Auditbase system
    • Oto-acoustic emissions clinics
    PERSONAL QUALITIES Essential
    • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
    • Patient and sympathetic to the needs of the hearing
    • Ability to handle difficult situations eg: emoti And/or aggressive patients
