Senior Footwear Designer - The Role:
Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Footwear Designer to join their creative team. As a Senior Footwear Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the brand's footwear collections, bringing innovative designs to life while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Senior Footwear Designer - Key Responsibilities:
Leading the design process from concept development to final product, ensuring designs align with the brand's aesthetic and target market
Researching emerging trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and inspire innovative footwear concepts
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and production, to ensure designs are successfully translated into production-ready samples
Creating detailed technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes to communicate design concepts to manufacturers
Overseeing the product development process, conducting fittings, and providing feedback to ensure designs meet quality and fit standards
Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks, and meeting tight deadlines
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the design team, fostering their growth and development
Senior Footwear Designer - You:
A degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
Proven experience as a footwear designer, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or lead role
A strong portfolio showcasing your creativity, technical skills, and ability to translate trends into commercially viable footwear designs
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD
Excellent knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams
A passion for footwear design, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional products
