Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner to develop and enhance the existing workforce and service.


To work independently to manage and review people referred on the 2ww colorectal suspicion of cancer pathway who are not fit for straight to test.

To support the clinicians caring for patients on the wards

Support and assist surgical procedures

Work autonomously to deliver independent assessments,

undertake clinical examinations, provide diagnosis, clinical decision making

Planning of care and treatment

Prescribing

Heath promotion

Safe discharge of patients

Support patients to self mange following a diagnosis of cancer

We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes.

To work independently to manage and review patients under the care of the colorectal service.


Undertake management of Fast track clinics for people who are referred on 2ww FT pathway and not deemed appropriate for straight to test following triage.

Develop an enhanced recovery programme

Educate patient to enable them to self manage following a diagnosis of cancer

Support and assist in operating theatre for surgical procedures

Collaborative working with Primary Care to educate GP's on cancer referrals and treatment management of colorectal symptoms
