Based in Yate, North Bristol, W H Bence is a manufacturer of specialist mobile facilities such as medical screening trailers and relocatables for Breast Screening, MRI, CT, Heart Catheterisation, Chemotherapy Clinics, Fire Appliances and Emergency Service Command Centres.

• A Mechanical Design Engineer with Automotive experience. This role will progress towards leading individual jobs working "cradle to the grave" from initial outset of design conception through to delivery.

• Represent the company and communicate with customers in person and over the phone
• Take responsibility for design quality, accuracy, timely delivery, and management
• Ensure consistent and compliant design approaches
• Maintain and improve the standard of creative design work
• Identify potential cost savings through design improvements with the Production and Operations teams
• Collaborate with refrigeration suppliers to ensure suitable routing for a mobile environment
• Understand general electrical principles

• Qualifications and Automotive Experience are essential
• Thorough understanding and working experience of Solidworks PDM software and Design Package, 2D & 3D CAD design package
• Knowledge of engineering principles
• Competent to work with all aspects of Microsoft Office
