The Opportunity

You will part of an experienced and supportive Transport Planning North team based in Edinburgh, where you will be involved in many exciting transport infrastructure and planning projects.

You will benefit from client exposure from an early stage, benefitting from outstanding professional development in an innovative and exciting multi-disciplinary community.

This team is heavily involved in supporting public sector clients with appraisals and business cases for services and networks for all modes of transport

This includes:
bus, roads, rail, active travel, ferry and cycling.

You will be part of a wider North team that are located that are also located in Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh which will give you the opportunity to work with lots of different people from our other offices, as well as be involved in a large variety of projects across disciplines.

Assisting with technical input into a variety of projects, your duties could include:

Conducting research and data collection for analysis for project teams.
Provide technical support on a range of transport projects across the UK, including transport modelling, forecasting and appraisal.
Preparing transport assessments.
Using specialist software to analyse transport impacts of new developments.
Liaising with third party suppliers and public sector clients.
Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and fee proposals.
Attending meetings and workshops with clients and collaborating with other disciplines helping to ensure project deadlines are met.

About You
You have a desire to learn and a passion for Transport Planning. You are excited to join Stantec and design the next great infrastructure project.

You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships or are able to demonstrate a genuine interest to work in Transport planning.
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
