    Deputy Nurse Manager- Outpatients

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Nurse Manager to join our Outpatients nursing team located in Central London, W1G (close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).

    Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street.

    Our Consulting Rooms and Outpatients Centre provides a medical environment in which a wide range of out-patient procedures are undertaken such as: Minor Gynae procedures, sterile dressings, Removal of stitches and clips, Wound swabs, Joint Injections, Rigid sigmoidoscopies and Photodynamic therapy to pre-cancerous skin lesions.

    Job Description

    As a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will facilitate the provision of a co-ordinated, high quality outpatient service in consultation with the Outpatient Manager.


    Job Type:
    This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Saturday.

    Shifts:
    Earlies & lates to cover the Outpatients service from 8am to 8pm. The early morning shift could start at 7.30am and the late could be until 8.30pm.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    To be in charge as the deputy when the Manager is absent.
    To work clinically and to adhere to the NMC Code.
    Enable clinical effectiveness by mentoring /facilitating junior staff to achieve optimum competence and clinical performance in patient care.
    Ensuring that the department is efficiently and effectively managed at all times. Working with both senior and junior staff in co-ordinating and delivering quality standards of nursing care.
    Work collaboratively with the Consultants and key stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality, evidence-based care
    Skills & Experience
    Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin.
    Extensive experience working in an Outpatients setting with surgical experience, ideally Gynaecology, ENT/Dermatology/ Orthopedic or Colorectal.
    A nationally recognised course in Gynae/Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy
    Practice assessor/Supervisor
