CNC Miller - Setter Operator

Permanent - Immediate Start

Salary up to £36,000 pa -Good hours available - Excellent Earning Potential

Royston area -On the Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire / Essex border


CNC Miller - Setter Operator is required by established, successful precision sub-contracting engineering company based near Royston, on the Hertfordshire / Cambridgeshire / Essex border.

On this interesting, varied role, you will be producing low to high volume components on our clients range of CNC milling machines


You will be a team player, have good organisational and communications skills, be able to prioritise workloads, be analytical and thorough in all aspects of work.


CNC Miller duties:


Setting and operating various CNC Mills up to 4 Axis, using Siemens Controls; to produce high quality components typically used in various industries (Pharmaceutical, Medical etc).


  • Set and operate multi axis CNC Mills
  • To produce one off and multiple parts to drawings


  • CAD/CAM

  • Desirable
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings
  • Inspecting own work

Skills / Qualification Requirements:


  • To ideally be a time served mechanical engineer trained in machine shop technology and working practices
  • City and Guilds or equivalent
  • Any programming is desirable
Salary Guide £31,000 - £36,000 pa (£ £17.00 p/hr) + Overtime Rate.

Working Days:
Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm, 40 hours per week.

Location:
Royston area, on the Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire / Essex border.
