Description
The Student Administration Department manages the administration of a student's journey from registration to examination, and graduation.

Student Administration incorporates the Student Registry (where this role is based), the International Student Office, the Exam and Mitigating Circumstances Team and the Office of Student Conduct, Complaints and Appeals.

The post-holder will work closely with all teams but in particular with the Student Registry in relation to undergraduate student records work.


The Student Registry Team works in conjunction with teams across the Collegiate University to maintain the data quality of the student records and course information held on CamSIS, which is the foundation of information for students and staff.

This data must comply with the requirements of the annual statutory returns and meet the reporting requirements of both internal and external customers.

The Student Record must correctly reflect the achievements of our students in official documentation, and the Student Registry is responsible for authenticating this information for exams, certificates, transcripts.


The post holder will:


  • Be responsible for the management, quality, and maintenance of undergraduate student records, systems, and data and to ensure the timely provision of complete and correct data to meet our statutory reporting and obligations, academic regulations and other reporting requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Be the key contact on undergraduate student record matters to team members and stakeholders through the development and enhancement of student record procedures and systems, attending information briefings and delivering training
  • Take forward the ambitions of the Student Administration Department to improve communications and operational efficiency and to work closely with the Undergraduate Record Manager to ensure activities are carried out consistently and to a high standard
  • Experienced administrators, with knowledge of the HE sector, and an understanding of data compliance matters for Higher Education Institutions
  • Experienced in training and coaching others in a work environment
  • Advanced users of MS Office software with experience of largescale databases and data sets
  • Able to keep calm and work effectively under pressure, with mínimal supervision, utilising exceptional time management and prioritisation skills, exercising a high degree of responsibility, judgement and initiative
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people, from senior figures within the University to our students
