We are recruiting Bar and Events Assistants on a temporary contract to come join Coventry University Event and Operational team to delivery a high-end bar service and excellent customer service during Events and Sports Fixtures at their sites at Square One (Coventry Campus) and Westwood Heath (near Warwick University).

As a Bar and Events Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Meet, great and welcome all customers in a polite manner
  • Processes all cash and card transactions
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Carry out bar duties in line with University responsible drinking guidelines (Challenge 21)
  • Being able to take orders and serve drinks
  • Pour and serve drinks accurately to maintain customer expectations and reduce product wastage
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all customers and staff
  • Support the venues in event sept, delivery and pack down
  • Deal with customer complaints and in a prompt, profession and proactive manner
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues whilst on shift

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Flexible
  • Organised
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Able to work within a busy environment
  • Able to handle conflict, and work within a calm manner

Hours/Pay Rate:
Part time mainly evenings and weekends between Monday to Sunday

£10.16 p/h
