    Description

    We have secured the Health Assessment Advisory Service contract for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in South East England, London, and East Anglia. This new service is set to begin in 2024 and will run for a minimum of five years. The Health Assessment Advisory Service is responsible for conducting assessments for DWP to understand the impact of illnesses or disabilities on individuals' daily lives to determine their eligibility for benefits.

    Exciting opportunities are now available for RGN Nurses and AHPs to join our team as Functional Assessors supporting Work Capability Assessments (WCA) and Personal Independence Payments (PIP) assessments at Ingeus UK, a part of the global human services provider APM Group.

    In addition to your experience as an RGN Nurse or registered AHP, you bring valuable transferable skills such as critical analysis, objectivity, and logical thinking. These skills will be utilized to support vulnerable individuals in our society.

    As a Functional Assessor, you will work alongside a team of professional clinicians to enhance the claimants' experience and elevate the profile of the Health Assessment Advisory Service through leading change, mentorship, and coaching.

    Your primary responsibilities as a Functional Assessor will include:

    • Conducting comprehensive functional health assessments
    • Preparing detailed reports outlining claimants' functional abilities
    • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service
    • Contributing to the improvement of health assessment services in the UK

    To be eligible for this role, you should have a minimum of 12 months of post-graduate experience in the UK as a registered RGN Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist. Additionally, strong critical analysis, logical thinking skills, and IT literacy are required.
