- Lead the engineering team in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects for residential developments, including roads, drainage, utilities, and landscaping.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on engineering matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Conduct site inspections, assessments, and surveys as required, identifying risks and proposing solutions to mitigate them.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records, including design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering and construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Chartered status (CEng) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role within the residential construction industry, with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects.
- Thorough understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice governing civil engineering and construction.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites within Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
