    About us

Podium Analytics (Podium) is a charity with a clear and ambitious vision to create a world with more sport and less injury.

Committed to significantly reducing the incidence and impact of injury in sport, the charity was founded with the belief that, to see the full benefit of sports participation, more needs to be done to address the issue of youth and grassroots sports injury, which is an under-researched, under-resourced and often overlooked issue.

Podium advocates a science-led, data-driven approach, inspired by the experience of its Founder and Chairman, Sir Ron Dennis CBE, as well as a collaborative one, and works closely with world-leading Research organisations, Global and National Governing Bodies of Sport, Professional Sports Leagues, UK Government, Technology partners, and Sports Clubs and Schools across the UK.

Podium is headquartered in Grosvenor Street, Mayfair, London, and has established the Podium Institute for Sports Medicine and Technology at the University of Oxford.

Podium embraces equality, diversity and inclusion and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexuality, religion or belief, disability, parenting, caring or marital status.

    The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Podium Analytics, a company that is delivering tangible impact in the world of sport. You will be joining at a critical time when you will play an important role in establishing and shaping the organisation as well as develop your skills and experience.

The Technology team has a broad set of responsibilities and acts as an internal agency, supporting Podium-wide programmes of work. As a Graduate QA Analyst in the Technology Team, you will support the business and be responsible for the quality assurance and testing of Podium's digital systems.

    Responsibilities:

This role will support the Project Portfolio Manager and the wider team in delivering and maintaining the quality of Podium's digital systems in line with the organisations strategic priorities, including:

    • Conducting manual and automated testing across various platforms and devices
    • Identifying, reproducing, and documenting bugs and defects efficiently
    • Performing regression testing to ensure stability after code changes
    • Conducting exploratory testing to discover potential issues beyond initial plans.
    • Analysing test results, identifying root causes of issues, and suggesting solutions.
    • Preparing clear and concise bug reports.
    • Monitoring bug resolution progress and report on overall test coverage.
    • Contribute to defect analysis meetings and provide technical insights
    • Actively learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies
    • Participate in relevant training programs and workshops
    • Seek feedback from stakeholders and mentors to improve skills
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in QA
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
    • Participate in business analysis and design discussions to provide a QA perspective
    • Explain technical issues clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
    • Collaborate effectively within the Podium team to share knowledge and support each other

The role will require a can-do, creative attitude to getting work done, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and time plan effectively, and the intuitive understanding of what it takes to deliver against a broad programme of activity. As an important interface with both internal and external stakeholders, the ability to build effective relationships will be key. Excellent planning, high attention to detail and a focus on high standards of delivery are all essential. You must be able to react quickly to changing circumstances, both using your initiative and taking direction as required.

    • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and of how other enterprises are using them to drive digital business.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

    • Ability to work on their own initiative.
    • A commitment to continuous process improvement.
    • Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
    • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite.
    • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in software testing, including staying updated with industry best practices and emerging trends.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to lead and motivate others; ability to empathise and knowledge of personality types
    • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
    • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.

    Desirable Criteria

    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent alternative experience.
    • Relevant certifications in software testing.
    • Interest and passion for sport.
