    Aramark Northern Europe have a fantastic opportunity for a Commis Chef to join our team at Warwick Castle

    Home to fantastic events such as The Dragon Slayer, The Haunted Castle and Christmas at the Castle, no two days are the same at Warwick Castle

    We are looking for enthusiastic foodies who are looking for a career in catering. We promise the best platform to getting onto the chef career ladder. From formal banquets in the Great Hall, to fairy tale weddings, lively themed dinners as well as luxury afternoon teas and dinners in our Knights Village hotel, our range of catering outlets is incredibly diverse. This role is specifically associated within the Knights Village Hotel.

    Aramark provides world-class contract catering services, and we are very lucky to have some of the best Culinary and Catering talent that the UK has to offer working within our teams.

    The role is a 10 hour minimal contract, working over a 7 working day week, with a mix of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and occasionally 10am-6pm shifts. There are no split shifts. The average working hours for our commis chefs is approximately thirty depending on the needs of the business.

    This is a hands on position with bags of practical skills required. You'll work alongside senior and career chefs who will lead and direct you on task to hone these skills and assist with your development in the catering industry. We have a proven track record of Commis chefs continuing onto higher and more responsible careers within catering.

    Key Commis Chef Competencies

    · Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen preparation areas.

    · Assisting in food production.

    · Making sure that all kitchen equipment like food mixers, fridges, cookers are in good working order.

    · Reporting any fault equipment to senior manager.

    · Keeping the storerooms well stocked and always organised.

    · Assisting with food stock distribution across the resort.

    · Completing due diligence tasks and daily paperwork

    · Keen and willing to work and has a can-do attitude

      The ideal Commis Chef will have
      • Previous experience with a commercial kitchen
      • Basic knowledge of food hygiene, and accreditation
      • A full UK driving licence
      • A good understanding of IT
      • An eye for attention to detail
      • A real passion for food
