We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 1 child who has ASD and behavioural issues.

This is a temporary position until May half-term with a possibility of extension based on funding.

As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include:

Provide one-to-one support to a child with ASD and behavioural issues in Year
Assist the teacher with planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the child's needs
Help the child to stay on task, manage their behaviour and regulate their emotions
Monitor and report the child's progress to the class teacher and SENCO
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the child

The requirements for this role are:

Experience working with children with ASD and behavioural issues
A patient, caring and compassionate nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use your own initiative and work independently as well as part of a team
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 would be advantageous.
