Our client, a global Aerospace company, urgently require a Skilled Fitter to join their team.

The role:

• Ensure parts are produced on a 'right first time' basis

• Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date

• Responsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system

• Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader

• Adhering to the requirements of the Quality Procedures

• Accountable for Health & Safety requirements

Skills/Experience:

•Must have a recognised indentured apprenticeship and ideally have previous

manufacturing experience in an aircraft production environment.

• Ability to work to standard operating procedures

• Must be able to work in small teams with Process Team Leaders

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques

• Self-motivated team player with good communication skills

•Have wide knowledge of hand and machine tools used in the aircraft

industry including:

• Percussion riveting

• Drill/Ream/Countersink in panels with Vanmar tools

• Setting structures in build jigs

• Deburring of structures

• Fettling using approved setting tools

• Treatment touch-up in localised areas on aluminium

• Use of CNC pillar drills (DONAU)
