Trainee Optical Assistant


Our client, a well-established and reputable optical practice, is currently seeking a passionate and customer-oriented individual to join their team as a Trainee Optical Assistant.

Up to £24,000 per annum (salary will be commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Warmly welcome customers and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit.
  • Provide assistance in selecting the right frames and lenses based on individual preferences and requirements.
  • Learn and communicate information about optical products, prices, and promotions accurately.
  • Support optometrists during preliminary eye tests and measurements.
  • Handle administrative duties related to appointment scheduling and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain a clean and organised dispensing area, creating a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
  • Stay updated on optical trends and products to offer expert advice to customers.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Prior experience in a customerfacing role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
