    having secondary responsibility, supporting the Development Underwriter, producing and writing new business from assigned broker panel in accordance with underwriting authority; supporting Branch in consistently achieving financial plan (premium, loss ratio, retention, commissions, pricing, new business, and expense management) through superior service, business retention and responsiveness to new business submissions; Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy.

    This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees).

    This policy may be changed at the Company's discretion.
    This role is eligible for a £1,500 new joiner referral bonus.

    If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

    Underwrite and assess risk to maximise business growth and profitability for allocated broker panel. Working with Underwriter on same broker panel, continuously manage book of business, maintaining quality of business, growth and profit.
    Accountable for accurate underwriting documentation and information in account management systems and adherence to
    Actively engage and seek out training opportunities to further develop underwriting expertise.
    Develop and leverage broker/client relationships through a high level of visibility and using a disciplined sales management approach (e.g. planning and follow-up for broker and prospective customer visits/meetings) in support of business objectives.

    Working with Distribution, effectively assist in the development, documentation and execution of sales plans with emphasis on increasing marketing and sales activities outside the office.

    Seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in other business units and regions to foster business development across Travelers.

    You will ensure you understand all compliance and regulatory requirements for your role by completing all necessary training and certifications.

    As an employee we expect your actions and outcomes will at all times meet local regulatory and supervisory approaches to ensure fair treatment of our customers.

    General knowledge of the local insurance marketplace.

    General knowledge of organisational and regulatory rules, policies, procedures and effectively employs that knowledge in day to day work activities.

    Demonstrates intermediate knowledge and ability in respect of Microsoft Office systems including Excel and Powerpoint.
    Incumbents are required to hold a full and valid driving licence.

    Retirement:
    Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan ("GPPP")
