Clerk to the Governors - Pimperne Primary School

Permanent, Part Time

Hours: 86 hours over the course of the academic year

Pimperne Primary School wish to appoint a Clerk to Governors. The role plays an important part in supporting the Chair of Governors, Headteacher and members of the governing board.


The role is for 86 hours over the course of the academic year, approximately 8 hours per month, occasional additional hours may be needed.


Key Duties include:


  • Liaising with the Diocese, keeping the Diocese records up to date
  • Distributing information to the board
  • Providing the office with school website information
  • Updating Edubase
  • Organising governor inductions
  • Maintaining a register of attendance at meetings
  • Maintaining the register of governor business interests
  • Policies and associated review schedule
  • Governor training and records
  • Clerks training, development & research.
Experience is preferred but a willingness to take on training also considered.

The salary shown on the advert is current for the role and is based on 86 hours being worked over the full academic year.

Salary payments are paid monthly in twelve equal instalments.

A pay adjustment will be needed if the staff member works fewer hours or less than a full academic year.


This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
