EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


Our Customer Operations team have an opportunity for you to join as our new
Logistic Technician for a 12 month secondment.


In your new role, you'll work within the metals team to support our Laboratory Scientists to get the water samples in order and to the places they need to be.


Additionally, you'll help with the organisation of setting up bottle orders, registering them on the computer whilst ensuring compliance with our health and safety procedures.


Engage with customers, partners and stakeholders with the positive steps we are taking to improve wildlife and wider environment in our regions, ensuring that Severn Trent is recognised as a high-profile champion, steward and leader for the natural environment.


Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • Registration and bottle preparation completed to allocated quantities and deadlines
  • Maintain daily service delivery to Company KPI's
  • Understand customer requirements
  • Investigate and reporting of nonconforming work
  • Work with other team members to ensure efficient flow of samples
  • Ensure that inter laboratory chain of custodies are managed in accordance with procedures and anomalies are reported correctly
  • Correct disposal procedures of completed sample containers are followed.
  • Preregistered survey samples are completed on time and dispatched to the correct location

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE


We're seeking our new Logistic Technician to be comfortable working with customers as well as working well alongside their logistics team members.


To be successful, it's expected that you'll have good organisational skills to deal with the many samples that will be handled daily.

You'll also be an excellent communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.


Experience of working within a laboratory environment and experience Working within a high-volume logístical environment would be desirable however is not essential.


You will also need 5 GCSES at grade C or above including Science, maths and English, and to be able to lift and move heavy boxes and set up survey packaging.
