    Job Description

    We are recruiting for an experienced Underwriter to join us here at Mobilize Financial Services. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be the proactive point of contact between RCI and the Dealer network, ensuring new business applications are assessed in a timely and accurate manner.

    What you will do:

    • Respond to all dealer enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner via phone or email
    • Assist dealers to convert a negative decision to an acceptable proposals to Mobilize FS, providing the risk is within Mobilize FS guidelines
    • Follow up on a daily basis any proposals you have deferred for further information
    • Underwrite referred proposals within authority and refers to a higher level of authority when necessary
    • Ensure CIFAS applications are investigated correctly and thoroughly and that any possible frauds are identified promptly referred for further action
    • Highlight any problems that may arise to your manager and offer possible solutions
    • Ensure department Service Quality Commitments (SQC's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met whilst also maintaining high services levels and standards
    • Work transversely across Operations and throughout the business supporting your colleagues in other areas
    • Assist with other job functions within the team and inline with business needs
    • Protect the company at all times for fraud and financial exposure
    • Comply with all company procedures and standards
    • To comply with all relevant legislation at all times such as Consumer Credit Act, Money Laundering Act, Data Protection Act and the FLA code of practice

    What you will have:

    • Asset underwriting experience (authority up to or over £28,500)
    • Eye for detail and a good standard of numeracy
    • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
    • Effective written verbal/communication skills
    • Pro-active attitude with problem solving abilities
