Kanwal UK Corporation LTD is looking for a Procurement Specialist in Dunstable to join our expanding team.

We are looking for an ambitious professional with all-round skills, capable of driving business growth and establishing best practices alongside the senior management team.


As the Procurement specialist, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient day-to-day transactional processing of our MRP and procurement related activities.

Providing excellent customer service, you will be accountable for our MRP and procurement functions which will include the entering of bill of materials for our new products.


Specifically, you will process purchase orders, ensuring order acknowledgements are received, updating the system, and communicated internally.

You will need:


  • Previous experience of purchasing, scheduling and general supplier management
  • Monitoring supplier deliveries
  • Updating manufacturing and purchasing related trackers for wider Ops team
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Roles and Responsibilities
A procurement coordinator is responsible for overseeing the procurement process within an organization


Their main responsibilities include:

  • Procurement Planning: Developing procurement plans and strategies to ensure the procurement process is efficient, effective, and meets the needs of the organization.
  • Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying, researching, and evaluating potential suppliers for the goods or services required.
  • Negotiating: Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Contract Management: Managing contracts with suppliers, including ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Purchase Order Management: Creating and managing purchase orders, ensuring they are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring that the organization has the right amount of stock at the right time to meet operational needs, while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Vendor Management: Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers, including conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Budget Management: Monitoring and controlling procurementrelated expenditures to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Reporting: Providing regular reports to management on procurementrelated activities, including costs, savings, and supplier performance.
