You will be answering calls from the public for the NHS 111 Wales service as part of the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

    NHS 111 Wales is a health advice and information service available 24 hours a day, providing help, advice and information to service users across Wales. Our Clinical Contact Centres are staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of Health Information Advisers, Call Handlers, Dental Nurses and Clinicians. The service acts as a vital link between communities and is an important and integral part of the overall package of health care provided by the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.

    Main duties of the job

    The Health Information Team provides a high quality; evidence based consumer health information/signposting service over the telephone, by post and via our web based Online Enquiry Service, helping our service users to make informed choices about their health. We provide a supporting role to our NHS Wales colleagues in delivering health information relating to health campaigns, new initiatives and current health issues.

    The post will offer an opportunity to work within a busy and challenging team led environment. This role operates 7 days per week 365 days a year and you will be required to work a range of shifts between the hours of 7.00am & 8.00pm Monday to Friday and between 7.00am & 4.00pm on weekends.

    NHS 111 Wales is a bilingual service.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
