Salary:
From £34,032 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Assisting in the negotiation of subcontracts with potential suppliers and ensuring this results in acceptable business agreements
  • Providing commercial support and contract administration to a project or business stream
  • Collaborating with and supporting the Commercial Management Team
  • Drafting of clauses and negotiations of contractual agreements, ensuring there is no risk to the business
  • Commercially supporting the Supply Chain Team with Pricing, Single Source Contract Negotiations for defence contracts, Termination and Defence Condition
  • Working in adherence to business processes and governance
  • Working closely with the customer to develop and maintain those external relationships

Your skills and experiences:


  • Be educated to A Level standard or Business qualification
  • Have good business acumen
  • Have previous experience of negotiating a contract or agreement and understanding clauses and risks of a contract
  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word and Excel

The SSNA Commercial Team (Commercial Support to Supply Chain):
This role is based within the SSNA Commercial Team (Commercial Support to Supply Chain).

The team focus on the SSNA Programme for submarines, looking at the initial stage of design and scope of subcontract negotiations.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join the SSNA Commercial Team (Commercial Support to Supply Chain) as you will be providing commercial support to the Supply Chain team through identifying opportunities for cost saving and risk management.

This role will offer you great exposure to various areas of the business.

The team also encourage further development through the Commercial Developing You (CDY) Course allowing you to further your career and fulfil your potential.
