    Salary: £23,150 (Grade B) Inclusive of the Real Living Wage Supplement Pro-rata

    Location: Caban, Pendine

    Caban are looking for an enthusiastic F&B Assistant, who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver excellent customer service. Previous experience is not essential as we can provide training, however charisma and enthusiasm is essential. The appointed individual will be an excellent team player, have the ability to work alone in a demanding work environment with accuracy, possess excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills and ideally having a broad knowledge of the leisure facilities/Tourism industry in Carmarthenshire.

    The role will require evening and weekend working. You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

    The Food and Beverage Assistant will play a key role in helping prepare and serve food and beverages whilst providing excellent front of house customer service in a friendly, welcoming, professional, and efficient service manner

    Key responsibilities

    • To achieve high standards of service through the preparation and presentation of food and beverages that exceed customer expectations.
    • To ensure the highest level of customer care by being welcoming, courteous and helpful
    • To capture customer feedback relating to products and services to continuously seek to improve services available.
    • To help create a vibrant environment in which customers purchase and consume food and beverages with excellent visual, and verbal prompts.
    • To operate points of sale to comply with working practices, policies and procedures relating to cash or card transactions, and reporting any security issues to line management.
    • To be fully aware of, and adhere to, the Council's food hygiene standards, licensing, and Health & Safety procedures within the workplace, ensuring a quality, safe, and compliant environment.
    • Check, rotate and secure stock ensuring appropriate stock levels, assist with checking deliveries and ensuring their correct storage in line with food safety, minimising waste at all times.
    • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all work areas during and after opening hours, whilst removing all waste and recycling materials to the appropriate areas, promoting Carmarthenshire's 'Green and sustainable' agenda
    • To be an excellent team worker, continuously working to and within the County Council's core values and behavioural standards.
