- Read and interpret drawings and plans to develop and design welding projects
- Interpret welding procedures, specifications and standards in engineering construction
- Lay out, fit, measure and weld metals to create desired shape or object
- Operate welding equipment
- Use burning equipment
- Manufacture using detailed drawings
- Inspect and test welds for durability as well as meeting specified standards, highlighting any items that do not meet job requirements
- Inspect, examine and text equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed
- Complete reports, RAMS, job sheets in a clear and concise manner
- Detail welding procedures, programmes and work methods
- Liaise with both internal and external customers
- Provide updates to Fabrication Supervisor advising of job progress

Main duties and responsibilities
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a welding role ideally within an engineering setting, the ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of team as well and on your own.
