    Brief Description:

    The Senior Manager for Market Access for the UK & Ireland will primarily be responsible for continuously managing activities to develop and execute the optimal market access strategy across the full product lifecycle of the Jazz portfolio. This Senior manager will be a key part of the UK & Ireland internally, ensuring early input into product planning and development at the EU/INT level and all the way through the product lifecycle.

    As a key member of the UK & Ireland Market Access team, a high-level of ability in scientific written communication is required. This manager will also be involved in supporting the development of external relationships in the new post-EU-exit era, contribute to NHS, HTA and industry association consultations and the development of local and national-level guidelines.

    The Senior Manager will be responsible for a great deal of input into and autonomously leading workstreams that require management of multiple cross-functional stakeholders in areas of high complexity.

    Ultimately this senior manager will play a key role in enabling our aim to obtain, maintain and optimise access for patients to help improve and save lives.

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities

    Operational:

  • Part of the project team for Jazz Pharma HTA submissions across UK & Ireland
  • Ability to synthesise, interpret and translate data into compelling and clear market access strategies, plans and submissions that support gaining and maintaining optimal access for Jazz Pharmaceuticals' medicines
  • Continuously analyses and monitors the current and future market access landscape across all our markets and provides strategic insights for developing market access strategy
  • Carrying out activities regarding the strategic direction and oversight of new product planning to ensure the pipeline indications are effectively brought to market
  • Contributing to projects which involve pricing policies, such as public list price, national-level discounts
  • Participating in tactical programmes to support the brand strategies for payers in UK & Ireland
  • Working cross-functionally to gather clinical and payer insights and synthesising evidence needs to deliver market access in UK & Ireland
  • Working in a matrix to anticipate health service and market trends, opportunities and challenges to enable appropriate uptake and share of the Jazz product portfolio
  • Adhering to internal processes related to Market Access and coordinating the activities of external agencies as required
  • Closely collaborating with EU/INT HEOR and PRMA teams, as well as UK & Ireland commercial and medical teams to develop HTA deliverables, payer value propositions and ongoing life cycle management
  • Partnering across the wider market access and health economic communities within Jazz ., sharing knowledge and best practice, learning from others and understanding our impact on our colleagues as an early launch market with significant international influence
  • Ensuring all business is conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Monitoring progress to continuously improve Market Access business performance and tactical execution for Jazz Pharma UK & Ireland at a national level and account level
  • Inputting into the UK & Ireland Market Access team's departmental goals to ensure excellence in Market Access business planning and effective monitoring of performance through appropriate use of relevant analytics and metrics
  • Contributing to the UK & Ireland team's vision and goals by optimising access for patients to Jazz products

  • Description of Physical Demands

  • Responsibilities may require working outside of "normal" hours, in order to meet business demands.

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Highly competent in evaluating, interpreting and presenting complex medical data
  • Strong understanding of health system and payer landscape from a national, regional and local perspective in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland
  • Track record of cross-functional team management without authority; can demonstrate their ability to collaborate across functions – using the wider organisational matrix to best serve the needs of patients and external stakeholders
  • Has evidence of ability to assess the market access landscape and identify the needs of market access stakeholders across the geography
  • Track record of external stakeholder engagement in relevant areas of medicine in the UK & Ireland markets
  • Experience of managing external agencies
  • Knowledge of oncology, rare and orphan diseases and a track record of successfully delivering payer customer strategy and market access in these disease areas in the UK & Ireland
  • Ability to devise innovative strategies for access, with the patient at the centre of all final decisions
  • ·Highly capable in managing multiple projects simultaneously; strong cross-functional collaborative skills to ensure delivery of results to timelines without compromise
  • Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • · Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent
  • · Educated to degree-level in Biological Sciences or equivalent
  • · Local-level health system experience desirable
  • · High competency in data interpretation
  • · Medical writing capabilities desirable
