Head of Regulatory Reporting (12m FTC)

  • Ensure financial reporting to Lloyd's is delivered on time and desired quality level, in an effective controlled environment.
  • Ensure financial reporting to Munich Re for all noninsurance entities are delivered on time and desired quality level, in an effective control environment under IFRS as well as producing Group SII reporting.
  • Ensure all tax reporting is done on a timely and accurate basis.
  • In addition build and support strong and robust teams as well as actively contribute to the wider finance transformation program. This role will operate with mínimal guidance and the holder is expected to address issues, draft solutions, agree with FC/CFO and implement them.
The Role

  • Reviewing the quality assurance and delivery of all required Lloyd's returns (UK GAAP and SII Basis) for Syndicate 457 and Syndicate 1840
  • Reviewing all statutory accounts and Syndicate accounts
  • RI counterparty Risk reporting.
  • Reviewing all company tax returns
  • Reviewing all VAT returns
  • Reviewing All other regulatory returns e.g. RMAR etc.
  • Improve and automate existing processes and then integrate them efficiently with the current reporting process
  • Organize and drive continuous improvement groups and projects to increase efficiencies in finance processes through standardization, simplification and automation
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors
  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
What we are looking for

  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Have experience in endtoend finance processes, such as, Financial close, intercompany process and Reporting
  • Experience of managing and/or leading a range of accounting projects
  • Communicate with confidence and credibility at all levels
  • Strong relationship management skills to influence stakeholders and senior management
  • Analytical, critical thinker and problem solving attitude
  • Taking ownership and actively looking for personal learning and development opportunities
  • Highly organised, flexible and calm under pressure

Qualifications:


  • ACCA, CIMA and ACA or equivalent
