    This role can be located either in Manchester or any other locations within the hub structure of our global IT organization.

    As a Project Manager you will be accountable for executing a diverse range of projects that support one or more lines of business. You'll have the responsibility to deliver results on time and budget, working with global teams across a range of IT disciplines including Architecture, Service Delivery, Application Teams and external service providers and vendors.

  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
  • Ensure adherence and adoption of Munich Re's project management methodology – 'MR Essentials', taking accountability for the production of all pre-requisite artefacts.
  • Identifying priorities within assigned Work brief and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Drawing up contracted Statements of Work for third parties in collaboration with internal legal counsel, ensuring adherence to contract(s), budget(s), scope and milestones is maintained.
  • Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities. Managing delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget, in accordance with approved authorities and change processes.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.

    • Your profile

  • University degree preferably in Computer engineering / IT, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences or similar qualification
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering IT or digital projects preferably in Financial Services or a regulated industry.
  • Successful coordination of project deliverables based on an understanding of the customer needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to engage and establish rapport with junior to Exec Board level colleagues
  • Ability to manage project costs and budgets to agreed baselines
  • Prepared to roll up their sleeves and undertake other project tasks when necessary
  • Demonstrated personal organizational skills and ability to coordinate the efforts of others involved in the delivery of projects, including negotiating deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to work globally across businesses and international cultures to deliver results
  • Preferably, you are already ITIL, Scrum or PMI certified or have the readiness to pursue one with our support
  • Recognized as proactive and with high problem solving competence
