What will you be doing?:
- Building and maintaining the next generation monitoring tools focusing on intelligent alerting with a business context
- Being consistently excellent at all we do and help to drive this mindset throughout the department through making everything we touch better
- Helping to drive Full Stack Observability throughout the department and being a role model on how this can be used to achieve our objectives and reduce MTTR
- Contributing to the adoption of Automation and helping on how this can be used to drive efficiencies, consistency, reduce MTTR and achieve our objectives
- Helping to drive technical excellence and accountability of the full stack that makes up our services
- Implementing continuous service improvements to exceed business expectations
What we're looking for:
- Working knowledge of maintaining production environments with distributed systems and highly available services
- Working knowledge of Unix, databases (MSSQL, Oracle), middleware (MQ/ Solace), Networks, Load Balancers, Storage, and Autosys batches
- Awareness of Observability/Monitoring solutions (such as Geneos ITRS, AppDynamics)
- Ability to diagnose and address technical failures
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Knowledge of Financial Markets and the lifecycle of a trade
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Experience with setup and maintenance of monitoring tools
- Experience delivering automation and/or continuous improvements
