    Description

    This role has a wide remit, allowing you to be involved with different functions across the business, including Marketing, IT and Risk & Compliance. This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their knowledge and expertise in the UK Insurance market and we will consider candidates who are looking for either a permanent role or a fixed term contract for 6 months.

    Responsibilities:

    • Managing all product development (new and review) work to ensure performance is well understood, continually monitored and optimised where appropriate. This will involve working with other key business areas.
    • Leading product development projects.
    • Providing technical product input into the development of protection and savings products.
    • Leading the governance process and delivery of product change for own brand and white labelled partnerships.
    • Identifying risks, managing them with key stakeholders, and providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
    • Ensuring products are communicated accurately, provide value for money, and meet customer needs.
    • Ensuring products meet legal, regulatory and industry requirements and exceed industry best-practice.
    • Reviewing core product literature and terms and conditions.
    • Supporting the other functions to embed new products or product change in the wider business.
    • Identifying shortcomings and opportunities for innovation and improvement.
    • Providing input into regular product lifecycle reviews.
    • Working with both technical and business stakeholders to regulate and test current governance processes.
    • Reviewing and assessing impacts of changes in FCA rules and guidelines.
    • Presenting ideas and new processes to stakeholders and other teams.
    • Production and presentation of project delivery metrics to Head of Products.

    The successful candidate will have experience within financial services, ideally the insurance industry with a detailed understanding of the technical workings of life protection and savings products including legislation, Consumer Duty regulations and data protection. You will have first-class verbal and communication skills including report writing and presentations with the the ability to prioritise your workload effectively.
