Project Engineer
**Remote - however office is based in Paddington and travel here will be expected possibly once or twice a month
Salary - up to £55,000 plus £8000 car allowance**
Full time permanent role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a Global Technology Solutions business who require an experienced Project Engineer.

You will be able to see AV systems as drawn and have a basic understanding of how they will work once implemented.

Experience with physical layer troubleshooting and configuration is a must as you will be part of client's experience at all stages from installationto commissioning to quality of build service and support.

Experience in physical AV install best practices is also required to be successful in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all technical aspects of a project postsales, including answering postsales technical questions from the field, monitoring change order for how it affects the technical aspects of the projects and timely completion of technical documentation andrequired files
Test, commission, and troubleshoot systems, from physical checks to software verification
Collaborate with peers and engineering to improve patterns of design
Accountable for setting the build quality standard of systems on a given project. From proper mounting, accessibility/usability, and aesthetics
Verify that each system's physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings (Floor Plans, Elevations, cable schedules, and ultimately the System Schematics)
Systematically and efficiently troubleshoot systems to identify hardware failures, restore functionality, and process RMAs.
Triage issues:

Identity, manage, and delegate issues based on priority and severity

Researcher on next-generation system design

Minimum Skills & Experience Required:

35 years of experience in installation, rack building, device configuration, commissioning of AV Systems
Demonstrated ability to fully signoff and deliver rooms to customers
Signoff on experience from the engineering team
AV:
Control: Extron, Crestron
DSP: Biamp, QSC, Shure
VC: Polycom, Mac/PC Based Soft VC Codecs (Zoom, MS Teams, Hangouts), Webex
AVIXA (InfoComm) CTS certification
Crestron Core Track, Technician Certification Track (Commercial), Design Certification Track

(Commercial), Programmer Certification Track (Commercial through CTI-P101)
