- Operate the cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment.
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with established procedures and regulations
- Inspect crane equipment before each use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Safely rig loads for lifting and ensure proper attachment to the crane.
- Communicate with ground personnel to ensure safe movement of materials.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of daily crane operations, including pre-shift inspections, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
- Previous experience operating cranes in the plant industry would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of materials handling procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lifting plans.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on crane equipment.
- Valid commercial driver's license HGV preferred.
- Forklift certification is a big plus.
- Experience operating cranes is a good advantage.

Description
MDH Recruitment are looking for a Crane Operator and become a part of our client's transport operations team based in North Lanarkshire.
This is a fulltime role Monday to Friday. £15 - £20 per hour. Weekly pay. Overtime at enhanced rates.
40 hours per week. You will be expected to do 5 over 7 shifts per week. Shift pattern to be confirmed once you have passed your induction.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in crane operation within the plant industry, accompanied by a strong understanding of materials handling procedures. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and lifting plans, coupled with mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance and troubleshooting, is highly desirable. A valid commercial driver's license (HGV) and forklift certification are advantageous.
