    Description


    We are currently seeking a Plant Engineer for our client, a pioneer organisation in battery cell research and battery technology development.

    The successful candidate will focus on managing the technical aspects of pilot plant and support equipment, including troubleshooting, process development and process improvement.

    The Plant Engineer will:


    Work independently to Lead / Support Technical specifications of new or changes to Plant infrastructure to support new Processes and Facilities.

    Project Management of key Project phases including total Project Management (RFI to Project Handover) where required.
    Budget management to include accurate forecasting and control of spend.
    Solve complex problems with support of established Manufacturing Engineering, HSE, Facilities, Controls and Maintenance Teams
    Work closely with established Civils Team to ensure change management governance is kept up to date.
    Upkeep of key site documentation including revisions to Site Layout and Building Information Model.
    Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues with current Plant including ability to impact OPEX spend in an R+D facility.
    Accurate reporting (verbal and written) to Project and business stakeholders at all levels

    The Plant Engineer will have

    5-10 years' experience in a Plant / Facilities Engineering roles with evidence of project management responsibility

    A good communicator with the ability to lead communicate upwards easily and comfortable in liaising with parties external to business.

    Ability to prioritise own workload and daily task / action planning.
    Enthusiasm to learn and not phased to work outside of common skillset when required.
    Excellent attention to detail
    Ability to work well with your hands


    Desirable:


    Degree in Engineering / Project Management.
    Time served apprenticeship or maintenance background.
    Evidence of leading the delivery Plant and/or Facilities Projects.
