    Role: Azure DevOps Engineer

    Duration: 6 months initial

    Rate: EUROS p/d (if candidate UK based, role will be inside IR35)

    Location: Remote working with occasional European travel for key meetings

    We are partnering with a financial services company, looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to be part of team that is revolutionizing their cloud services. The Azure DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in contributing to the success of their global cloud platform. As a key member of the global team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working closely with IT, Innovation and DevOps teams to deliver exceptional, and scalable cloud solutions as we look to take our platform from good to great.

    Key responsibilities

    The Azure DevOps Engineer if primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, documenting, upgrading and optimising cloud & hybrid infrastructure while ensuring the reliability, security and availability of said platform, in close collaboration with the entire Global IT program team.

    Build

    • Manage the deployment of solutions, encompassing both applications and infrastructure, either through hands-on delivery or with third party support
    • Ensure that deployments of new solutions comply with Global IT Enterprise Architectural standards
    • Oversee the handover of solutions into relevant service management teams via preparation of appropriate documentation and relevant training
    • Imagine, architect, develop, deploy, and evolve CI and CD systems for our cloud applications
    • Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry standard tools and services
    • Write application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools

    Run

    • Provide support and day to day administrator for deployed solutions
    • Oversee incident management activities related to global solutions and liaise with third party support partners through to resolution
    • Monitor deployed solutions to ensure they are operating in an optimal manner
    • Manage patching, upgrades, service packs of compute components
    • Maintain relevant documentation over the lifecycle of solutions ensuring they are kept up to date

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Good knowledge of IT best practices and design patterns.
    • Excellent knowledge of (hybrid) cloud concepts and technologies, utilizing Azure and Microsoft technologies.
    • Familiar with governance, monitoring, IAM, storage and server(less) infrastructure, and container concepts.
    • CI/CD pipelines have no secrets for you anymore: you have a good experience in building a continuous delivery process: version management, automation, infrastructure as code
    • Knowledge of Bicep.
