    We are currently working with a well established client in the heavy goods industry based in Sheffield, We are currently recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Sheffield to work 4 on 4 off patterns with shift hours being 6-6. The role would have a salary of 50,000 per year with overtime at time and a half and a fantastic package,

    Position Overview:

    As an Electrical Engineer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's electrical systems and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Taking accountability for all electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and process control work, both planned and during breakdowns.
    • Conducting maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial plant and equipment, including 3-phase systems.
    • Collaborating with Shift Engineers to prioritize workload and jointly plan shifts to maximize plant productivity.
    • Assisting with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
    • Responding promptly to 1st line maintenance requirements, performing hands-on tasks safely and effectively.
    • Ensuring the appropriate use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) throughout shift operations.
    • Generating engineering reports and providing thorough justifications for shift activities.
    • Managing electrical engineering activities to comply with internal and external health, safety, and environmental requirements, including the plant permit to work system.
    • Conducting electrical installation work and participating in plant commissioning.
    • Coaching and developing other employees, including apprentices.
    • Fulfilling any reasonable management requests in a timely manner.

    Person Specification:

    The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualities:

    • Motivated to thrive in a demanding and challenging environment.
    • Educated to an HNC level or with proven electrical experience in heavy engineering.
    • Demonstrated awareness of heavy engineering practices and principles.
    • High level of practical electrical hands-on skills.
    • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize work effectively.
    • Good working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
