Reed Accountancy are currently assisting an established company based in Horsham who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their existing team.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role will be responsible for the followingduties:


Responsibilities include:


  • Coding and input of invoices into the financial systems for the various companies in the group.
  • BACS supplier and subcontractor payment runs for the various companies of the group ensuring that the correct VAT and CIS codes have been applied.
  • Update supplier and subcontractor databases.
  • Processing employee expenses into the system.
  • Posting Journals into the system as required.
  • Posting and allocating payments.
  • Assistance with the audit requirements and various administration functions.
  • Assistance with preparation of cash flow forecasts and budgets.
  • Other adhoc tasks assisting the Management Accountant and Group Financial Controller.

Requirements:


  • Ideally AAT Qualified or close to completing.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Navision is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme), Selfbilling and VAT Domestic Reverse Charge is ideal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to proactively work alone as well as within a team and confident to challenge the work done by others and to ask questions to optimise results.
  • Strong organisational skills.
