    Senior Project Engineer - Contract- Outside of Scope of IR35

    Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join one of the UK's leading construction and engineering solutions company on a long term contract basis.

    The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering design on a major UK Hydrogen Pipeline distribution network FEED project, ensuring safety, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations. You will manage contractual communications, coordinate design teams, and maintain a commercial focus by challenging project scope and identifying key risks. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with the client's governance processes and standards, playing a critical role in supporting the Project Engineering Manager and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the delivery of multi-discipline engineering design on major projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe-by-design, sustainable, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.
    • Coordinate contractual communications, progress meetings, risk reduction activities, and cost reports, while overseeing multi-disciplinary design teams and closing out contract actions.
    • Maintain a commercial focus by challenging project scope and preventing uncontrolled scope creep, while identifying and mitigating key project and program risks.
    • Ensure all project services comply with Client's governance processes, standards, and obtain necessary approvals.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in coordinating multi-discipline teams on energy/oil & gas/pipeline projects.
    • Strong understanding of Engineering Project Controls, including Schedule, Cost, Risk, and Change Management.
    • Familiarity with requirements for CE/UKCA marking of plant and equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
    • Chartered engineer status preferred.
    • APM qualification/certification desirable.
