Description

Are you looking for some extra weekend work? This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy team of NHS Blood Sciences Reception Staff at King George Hospital, Goodmayes.

We have a main site at Queen's Hospital and staff may be asked to work across site if required. The role involves receipt and process of samples ready for testing in a timely and efficient manner.

The Blood Sciences Reception receives samples for all of Pathology, sorts them into the correct discipline and then work on the blood sciences samples only.

Samples are labelled and then data entered onto the computer. Samples are prepared for testing which may involve centrifuging, aliquoting, racking or packaging to send to another laboratory. Reception is the first point of call for staff, visitors, drivers and sometimes patients.

The role is for Saturday and Sunday working, 7.5 hours per day. Should be able to train initially during weekdays if possible.

If you have basic English and Maths qualifications, good computer skills, are a hard worker and would like the chance to join our busy team on a part time basis, then this is the role for you.

We may withdraw the advert early if there are too many applicants.
